NEW DAWN RAISES FUNDS FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN

In association with Crepe Café Budaiya, New Dawn Society organized a fund-raising event on February 12, 2010. The event was organized in support of Alia Early Intervention Center (the “Center”) a learning center specialized in supporting Autistic Children in Bahrain.

On the day of the event, visitors were offered a Charity Menu package at BD 10, including a savory and a sweet crepe, whereby 50% of the proceeds would serve as donations for Autistic children. Visitors could alternatively drop any amount they wish to give away in a special donation box on their way out of the Café.

The event succeeded beyond expectations, with a sum of BD 1,000 raised, which will be dispensed by the Society taking into consideration the needs of the Center. As a priority, New Dawn will consider using the funds to cover admission fees to children who cannot afford education at the Center.
